Bobby Lewallen and Charlie Seligman started Producer’s Choice with a one-ton package. The success of the first trailer—and the growth that followed—resulted from the innovative design of truck packages. Since their first clients were small corporate production crews, early configurations of equipment needed to provide clients with full-capabilities without the expense of additional manpower. To maximize personnel time and minimize set- and wrap- up time during the start-up years, every item was placed on wheels for easy transport. The needs of those early customers lead to smart design of all the Producer’s Choice packages—a design that contemplates functionality that works with a crew, not against it. Today the company boasts three trucks in addition to jib arms, dollies, electrical, and gaffer equipment. The company’s clients consistently return—year after year—not only for the equipment but the people.
