I have been a journalist and educator for ten years, with sporadic film credits. I'm looking to transfer most of my efforts to filmmaking projects, my own and other people's. I have acted in a film that made $13 million its opening weekend. I co-wrote and co-starred in a micro-budget indie that won numerous awards on the festival circuit. I directed and secured grant money for a documentary short subject that played three times in my hometown of Oklahoma City. I am interested, at this juncture, in production assistant jobs on feature films. I am interested in writing scripts on spec and selling them. I also produce and edit (on Windows Movie Maker) my own You Tube talk show, based in Austin, TX. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2007 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, where I earned 1st place honors, Enterprise Reporting, from the Society of Professional Journalists for work done at The Oklahoma Daily. In kickstarting the public policy web site Nondoc.com select articles under my byline earned praises from public intellectuals Michael Eric Dyson (Georgetown) and David Shields (Washington), respectively.
