Allison Gilman Caplovitz, Ph.D. is a content, curriculum, research, and evaluation advisor. As the founder of Technology & Education Consulting Associates (TECA), she has collected data for large-scale research studies and has worked on small evaluations for content development. She is experienced in focus-group facilitation, and her special area of interest is how media can affect cognitive development and learning. She is a member of the Children’s Media Association, the International Communication Association: Children, Adolescent and Media Division, Women in Animation, and a member of the Children's Education and Entertainment Research (CHEER) Lab in the Department of Communication at the University of Cincinnati.
