I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. One of my favorite hobbies growing up was making short films on my dad's Hitchi DVD HDD camcorder. At the age of 9 I wrote, directed, DP'd, gaffed, filmed, and edited my first horror film, which totally rivals "The Conjuring". At the age of 14, I started in technical theatre, in my high school. I was a jack of all trades, learning lighting, how to build sets, and mix sound. I was also on all of the run crews (so I am used to working under pressure). I attended the University of Cincinnati from 2017-2020, where I studied Technical Direction. Here I learned to weld, furthered my rigging and carpentry skills, and worked on more run crews (my favorite part of production). At the start of 2021, I moved to Austin, Texas and started working as a PA with 2perf Productions. I was immediately drawn to electrics and worked as a grip for several music videos and short films. In January of 2022, I gaffed my first feature film "Thirst" and also began working at Aduro Studios & Film. For SXSW this year, I did some venue lighting with Ilios Productions. I have worked with the Zach Theatre several times this year on show crews and lighting and stage operations overhire. I have been keeping busy in G&E and prefer busier productions that keep me moving.This summer I worked hard to aquire both my Fireworks Flame Effects and Fireworks Special Effects Operator Licenses which I got to put to use on the Zach Theatre's "Inheritance Part 1". I hope to learn more about special effects in 2023.In the future, I hope to continue working as gaffer and would love to explore stunt rigging and pyrotechnics.
