I am a native Texan. Born with the gift of being an artist, working in the feature film and television industry came naturally to me. My first encounter in the industry was working as a location scout/manager. Once I discovered one is not supposed to cry on each job, (true story!), I allowed myself to move into my natural state of being and I dove into working in both the costume and art departments. As a costume designer, I work deeply with the director and the actors to assist in bringing their vision and intentions into the creation of their character. When working on set as a costumer or shopping, I stay committed to the goals of the designer. Working either as a designer or shopper or a set costumer feeds my love for collaboration. I work with the the intent, always, to help get the job done smoothly and creatively, on time and within budget.I have my MFA in visual arts and my BA in fine art photography. I am a self- starter, I adore the collaborative nature of filmmaking, I work well with others, and I enjoy putting in the extra hours required to bring the character’s esthetic forth.
