Flora Ortega is a Production Designer and Art Director based in Austin and Los Angeles. She is a member of the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800. She has designed feature films, commercials, television series, and music videos. She has collaborated with companies such as Disney, Warner Brothers, and Activision Blizzard. Her commercial work includes clients such as General Mills, DoorDash, Old Spice and Airbnb. Flora recently designed her first Union feature film project, God’s Country, a neo-western thriller which premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Julian Higgins directed the film and Westworld, Emmy-winning actress Thandiwe Newton headlines the film. Flora’s debut feature, Outsiders, a sci-fi thriller, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2021.Flora is a proud Texan and graduate of the Radio-Television-Film Masters program at the University of Texas-Austin. She has experience working with local crew and vendors and loves traveling across the state in search of the beautiful locations and antique shops that Texas has to offer.
