I am a California certified Studio Teacher & Welfare Worker so I can help when a production hires a California minor. I am also a Texas certified teacher therefore not only can I help you with California minors to keep you in compliance with CA labor law I can also teach TX local minors to keep you in compliance with TX labor law. I am an IATSE Local 884 Studio Teacher in good standing for all union productions. Education I graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Education and a specialization in math. I also received my Master’s in Education from Bethel University in Madison, TN, and I am currently working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Bethel University in Minneapolis, MN and will graduate in May 2025. Growing up I also had a love for acting and was a part of various community musical productions as well as attended an acting school in Dallas, TX. In 2011, after teaching in the public and private sector I decided I wanted to do something different. I was looking at jobs outside of teaching when I found set teaching. This was the perfect job because I got to combine my love for teaching and acting. While set teaching I became familiar with studio teaching and worked to get my CA credentials. I am a certified CA Studio Teacher & Welfare Worker. I have lived and worked in various places throughout my career such as Texas, New York, Atlanta, California, and Nashville. Studio Teaching has provided me the opportunity to individualize education to the students and to build relationships with them as their teacher/welfare worker and most importantly as their supporter in all their dreams and goals. Education is so important, and I am delighted to be a part of educating young lives in a different setting than normal.
