Hello! My name is Chris M. Johnston, owner and operator of Truthful Studio based in San Antonio, Texas. I specialize in producing, filming and editing documentaries, feature films, series, behind the scenes (BTS) videos, corporate videos and more. I travel throughout the US with my production van loaded and ready for anything or I can fill up my pelican cases and jump on the next plane ready to film anywhere.
My gear consists of everything needed to film documentaries, features and any type of video.
- Two (2) Canon C500 Mark ii camera bodies
- One (1) Canon C70 camera body
- Zeiss CP3 Prime lens kit (15, 25, 35, 50, 85, 100mm and a macro diopter)
- Canon L series 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200mm f/2.4

Post-production: I edit, color grade and audio engineer on DaVinci Resolve with BMD UltraStudio 4K Extreme 3 I/O box and Flanders Scientific broadcast monitor with a color micro panel. I can also create and export DCPs for theaters.
I love every aspect of production and can execute at a very high level all the way to delivery. I am creative, problems solver (logistics, technical on set or producing issues), lots of stamina (with and without the expresso!) and easy to work with.
