Description

The Digital Media Arts program is dedicated to educating and training designers of the future. The degree is a blend of graphic design, interactive media, and animation with an emphasis on incorporating design theory and research as vital components of project development.

Graduates from our program can work in a range of design careers and projects including: user interface design, type design, motion graphics, exhibit design, environmental graphics, package design, publications, illustration, branding, information design, as well as design entrepreneur.

The Digital Media Arts degree emphasizes 3 key component areas: 1. Discipline-Specific Knowledge, 2. Critical Thinking and 3. Communications skills. The lower division coursework introduces content associated with implementing problem-solving strategies and honing technical proficiency. The upper division coursework focuses on advanced training in print graphic design, digital applications including user interface design and interactive media, motion graphics, animation, branding, design research, and user-centered project development.
