I’m a seasoned educator with over 33 years of experience as a Special Education teacher, bringing a deep understanding of how to connect with children of all ages, abilities, and learning styles. My core strength is working with each student as an individual, even in group settings—ensuring they feel seen, supported, and successful. This has been the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy throughout my career.
As a set or studio teacher, I offer more than just classroom management—I bring the ability to adapt quickly to diverse student needs, create structure within the unpredictable rhythm of a film set, and maintain both educational integrity and legal compliance. I’m experienced in crafting meaningful learning opportunities on the fly and supporting children academically, emotionally, and socially—even in fast-paced environments.
My background in Special Education has equipped me with a unique skill set: IEP interpretation, curriculum adaptation, behavioral support, and trauma-informed strategies. Whether a student needs enrichment, redirection, or a quiet space to regroup, I respond with empathy, flexibility, and professionalism.
I understand the balance required to meet production demands while protecting the educational rights and emotional well-being of young performers. I’m reliable, discreet, and collaborative with parents, guardians, and production teams. I’m also well-versed in child labor laws related to filming, including instruction hours, work/rest ratios, and documentation. My goal is to ensure that while children are on set, they’re not just meeting requirements—they’re truly learning and thriving.
