James K. Crouch has been a part of the Texas film industry for years, supporting local filmmakers and bringing their work to life through his keen editorial eye.

Crouch’s versatility as an editor is demonstrated in the depth and range of his work. Feature-length projects include the dramas, The Iron Orchard (Austin Film Festival, Cameraimage), Porvenir, Texas (PBS Documentary) The Teller and The Truth, 2019 sports documentary Jumpshot: The Kenny Sailors Story (SXSX Film Festival 2019); and 2015 documentary Road to ACL. Crouch edited the exciting true story called, 12 Mighty Orphans. Which stars Luke Wilson and Martin Sheen and will be out in theaters this coming April.

His most recent feature film, The Blazing World will premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

Beyond feature-length work, Crouch also lends his post expertise to short films which have been featured in film festivals across the country. Highlights include Goodbye, Old Glory (Vimeo Staff Pick, 2017 New Orleans Film Festival 2017), The award winning, Nacido de Nuevo (Short Film Corner, Festival De Cannes, Short of the Week), and Crouch’s latest project The Funeral Band had its World Premiere at the 2018 New Orleans Film Festival.

Crouch has had the pleasure of working with Austin’s own Willie Nelson, as well as luminaries like President Obama, editing Refugees Are for the 2016 UN Summit on refugees. He’s also edited content for FX Network shows Archer and Snowfall. Corporate clients include AT&T, the NFL, DirecTV, C3 Presents, and Dropbox.
