The Jefferson Theatre is one of the few remaining art deco movie houses in the country. Created for vaudeville shows and motion picture presentations, it has a maximum seating capacity of 1,444 and a fully rigged stage with modern PA and lighting system. The 40 foot x 34 foot stage is flanked by a magnificent Robert Morton Wonder Organ, which is installed on a platform that allows it to rise majestically from the orchestra pit to stage level. The organ’s 778 pipes and many percussive effects produce a variety of sounds rivaling those of an actual orchestra. In addition to a loading door, the facility is equipped with 2 Balentine PRO 35millimeter 4K Xenon projectors as well as chorus and private dressing rooms.
