Adventure awaits on and off the water at Lake Bastrop South Shore Park. The park’s piers and boat slips allow fishing enthusiasts to explore 900-acre Lake Bastrop and seek out a prize largemouth bass. Visitors can play a round of mini golf or rent pedal carts for the day, then stay overnight in an RV, tent or cabin. When you work up an appetite, order delicious sandwiches and artisanal goods from Base Camp Deli, who will deliver directly to your campsite.

South Shore Park offers on-site canoe rentals. Park guests can also enjoy day use and swim areas for picnics, hiking and biking trails, sand volleyball and tetherball courts and an on-site banquet hall (maximum capacity is 120 people). The hall offers AC, heat, catering kitchen with commercial sink, refrigerator, buffet counter, icemaker, tables and chairs, private restrooms and a fireplace. Horseshoe pits, washer pits and a large group smoker/ BBQ grill are located outside of the hall. 18 mini-cabins are available for rent and each cabin will sleep up to five in two sets of bunk beds. Each cabin has electricity, an outside water spigot, heat and A/C, a ceiling fan, a front porch, a picnic table and a grill. Restrooms and showers are available for park guests.
