The Adolph A. Erhard house is situated on a 3/4 acre lot in downtown historic Bastrop, and was built in 1870 in the Italianate style which was popular in Europe at the time. The front doors are the original hand-carved wooden doors with the original etched glass panels, and the silver knobs and doorbell are also original to the house. The long-leaf pine floors are original, as are the front stairs and railings.
