Scott Plantation

United States / Marshall, Texas
Location ID: #10201198

An 1860's plantation home originally built by Samuel Scott in Scottsville, Texas is just waiting to be the back drop for your next movie. The beautiful property contains 10 acres complete with a carriage house, several out buildings and two barns. The main house has 6,920 square feet of carefully restored grandeur. Just inside the back entrance to the house, an old cistern has been turned into a wine cellar with enough bins for up to 500 wine bottles. There is a formal office complete with woodwork from the ceiling down the walls. Beautiful period bricks have been used for flooring throughout the bottom floor. Handmade bricks adorn each of the six fireplaces. Great care was taken to keep all renovations as period as possible without compromising on modern comforts. There is period furniture in the house and carriage house. Beautiful old growth Sycamore trees adorn the front yard. It's a must see for any type of production.
