The Turquoise Garden
United States / Conroe, Texas
Location ID: #10248031
Approaching the front of the house is a delightful surprise. Hidden behind a lush curtain of trees, the home remains concealed until you reach the driveway. In front of the house, a spacious garden awaits, enclosed by a charming wooden fence, crowned by an arbor, and crisscrossed with rock walkways, creating a picturesque outdoor retreat.
Its expansive, shadowy porch wraps around three sides and stunning stained glass windows are featured in the front door and directly above it. Inside, we've got a staircase that's basically a work of art. It's like someone said, "Let's make a staircase, but let's make it AWESOME!" So they did. It's made of Saltillo and has these murals on the risers that are one-of-a-kind. The banister? It's so unique, even the word "unique" is jealous. It's like a rebellious teenager in a sea of conformity. And oh, wood - it's everywhere, like the setting of a whimsical fairy tale, with brick floors for that unexpected twist.
The master bath? Well, it's got a brick floor because we're fancy like that. The cabinets are hand-painted peonies, and there's a wet room with a claw-footed tub. The tile pattern is out of this world and lends the entire room a bit of crispness. At the rear, a screened-in porch exudes a rustic, country charm, while a Texas cowboy pool (ie stock tank), a rustic red shed, and two acres of wooded serenity complete the picture.
