The Other Place Resort is located on 4 1/2 acres along the horseshoe bend of the spring fed Comal River. This family owned resort has been a getaway for families since 1910, when it was founded by Ernst Giesecke. Because of our unique location on the peninsula of the Comal, all but one of our cottage are river front, with a river view. There is easy access to the river; you can float the horseshoe bend without leaving the property. Our location is secluded and peaceful, yet only 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants in downtown New Braunfels.
