The Edgar B. Davis North Side Clubhouse is a longtime community gathering space in north Luling that has served as a venue for neighborhood events, meetings, celebrations, and recreation. It was built circa 1926 as part of the local philanthropic projects funded by Edgar B. Davis, the businessman and wildcatter who discovered the Luling oilfield in 1922 and helped transform the city’s economy during the oil boom. Davis constructed it as a community clubhouse and recreational facility for Luling's African American community during the 1920s oil boom era.
