Description:
The Cliftex Theater, built in 1916, is located in Historic Downtown Clifton, Texas. The theater is know as the oldest continually operating theater in Texas, as it has been consistently in business since 1916, Originally named the Queen Theatre. In 2008 the building was completely restored, bringing back art deco details from the 1930s, as well as modern seating, an expanded lobby and new neon marquee. In 2019, the theater acquired a new digital projector, with the ability to play up to 4k. There are a total of 160 seats. The first 3 rows have the original wooden seats with padded cushions. There is a balcony overlook in the theater. While there are a handful of seats, it is not open to the public. It may be used though as it was fully restored.
