Description:The Lynn Wyatt Square for the Performing Arts (LWS), at the epicenter of Houston’s Theater District in downtown Houston, is a new cultural gateway for Houstonians and visitors to experience the beauty and power of the nationally and internationally recognized performing arts surrounding it.The park is across Louisiana Street from Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts (commonly known as Jones Hall) and squared by Texas Avenue on the North, Capitol Street on the South, and Smith Street on the West. The green 1.5-acres space includes a flexible performance lawn for concerts and other free programs, a cascading water feature, accessible entries, gardens, trees, a street theater, one-of-a-kind tête-à-tête rockers/seating, lighting and sound elements. Mini murals created by Anat Ronen and Jessica Guerra cover traffic boxes within the square. In addition, park visitors will enjoy complimentary programming that reflects the cultural district and Houston’s dynamic and diverse population.
