Description:
This historic house was built in 1900 by architects George C. Nimmons and William K. Fellows to be reminiscent of villas in ancient Pompeii, Italy. The Port Arthur Historical Society purchased the house in 1973 and undertook a large-scale renovation. The house is open to the public for tours and was awarded the status of a Texas Historical Marker and a Historical Building Medallion May 25, 1973.
