Description:
In 1970, an F5 tornado tore through Lubbock, Texas killing 26 residents and destroying millions of dollars worth of property. The Lubbock Tornado Memorial, opened in May 2021—the 51st anniversary of the storm. It is a City landmark which memorializes the City leaders, victims of the storm and history of the tornado and impact it had on Lubbock.
