Description:
Steinhaus is a restored German Ranch House in the Texas Hill County near Castell, Texas. Steinhaus is part of a 170 acre operating cattle ranch in the rugged Llano Uplift. The two story stone home was built from native Llano River stone by the owner, along with his father and five brothers, all stonemasons, in the late 1890s. Today we use the home for vacation rentals and special occasion photography. It is located near several public Llano River crossings and is traversed by Vasterling Creek.
