Description:
In 1964, the New Braunfels Conservation Society was given the task of preserving the home of one of the founding fathers, Ferdinand Lindheimer. Since that point, Conservation Society has expanded the scope of the history we preserve. This now includes five properties which total over 26 historic structures. “Historic Old Town” Conservation Plaza is home to 18 structures (circa 1845 – 1880s.) All feature the different types of Fachwerk construction used in Germany and brought to New Braunfels in 1845.
