This single-story residence was built in 1954 and is located in central Austin behind Zilker Elementary School. There are no homes or other obstructive buildings directly across the street. Instead, there's a large school athletic field across from the home, which allows for lots of natural light in the mornings and much of the day. There is ample public street parking. A home addition and improvements were made in 2008 and 2010, giving the newer back section of the home modern features. Hardwood floors - including some original 1950s floors - exist throughout most of the house. Saltillo tile floor is in the dining room, and tile and Leuders limestone are in the bathrooms. Tall windows and a vaulted ceiling bring in an abundance of natural light in the principal bedroom suite. The back yard features a cedar deck, a cedar fences and Texas native grasses in parts of the yard, along with limestone pavers on a gravel walkway. A large storage room connected to the house (not quite as large as a garage, but a sort of small garage) may be of interest for filming. It contains yard tools, hanging bicycles, shelves and a Craftsman cabinet.
