The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show is a long-standing annual event in Mercedes, Texas, that celebrates agriculture, youth leadership, and community tradition. Organized as a project of the Mercedes Chamber of Commerce in 1939, the show now takes place on more than 100 acres and includes livestock exhibitions, rodeos, parades, competitions, food, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions. Its mission is to provide a safe, educational environment that supports agricultural education, volunteerism, and the development of future leaders through events and competitions for FFA and 4-H youth.
