Description:
The Haltom City Senior Center, located at 3201 Friendly Lane, opened in its current location in April 2022 (Previously was the Library) following the renovation of the City's former library and Northeast Center. Nearly twice the size of the previous facility, the center serves as a vibrant community gathering place for adults age 50 and older, offering a wide variety of recreational, educational, wellness, and social programs. Designed as a flexible, multi-use community facility, the Senior Center features multiple meeting and classroom spaces, a large banquet hall capable of hosting community events and special celebrations, a full commercial kitchen with adjoining pantry, and dedicated activity rooms for arts and crafts, quilting and sewing, computer use, and fitness programs. Recreational amenities include game rooms with pool tables, shuffleboard, indoor basketball, and numerous table games, providing opportunities for recreation, fellowship, and lifelong learning. The Haltom City Senior Center hosts daily activities, educational classes, exercise programs, community meals, and special events, creating a welcoming environment where residents can stay active, engaged, and connected while fostering a strong sense of community.
