I’m a director and acting coach focused on authentic, human storytelling that feels grounded, real, and emotionally alive. My work bridges actor process and what translates on camera, allowing me to support productions both behind the lens and directly with performers. With 25+ years of directing experience in theatre and on-camera work through Texas acting studios such as The Kent Collective, The Actor’s School, and Carol Hickey Acting Studio, I bring a clear, efficient approach to shaping nuanced performances. My experience has strengthened my ability to communicate quickly and effectively, helping performers find clarity through imagination. I help actors move beyond memorizing text. I believe words are secondary to relationships, behavior, and circumstances. As a director, I’m drawn to stories that balance emotional depth with tension and humor. This approach is reflected in my short film GoodWill, which I wrote, directed, and produced. I’m an “actor’s director,” focused on creating a collaborative environment where performers feel safe to play, take risks, and do their best work. I value trust, efficiency, and respect on set, and I’m actively expanding my work in the Texas film industry. Whether as an on-set coach or director, my goal is to elevate the work, support the creative vision, and help stories land with authenticity and impact.
